Upholds and quality standards: This person is responsible for working with the production department leads, supervisors, and employees to ensure that quality standards are known and followed in each area of production. This person will conduct spot checks of product to ensure quality levels are maintained. The Quality Control Inspector will be trained in production floor tasks to ensure quality and correctness of production tasks. The Inspector will compile data that is then sent to the Quality Control Supervisor for tracking. The Quality Inspector is responsible for reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements.

Additional Responsibilities:

Use measurement devices such as calipers and tape measures to measure finished product.

Accept or reject finished products and discuss inspection results with production team.

Performs other duties as assigned by Quality Control Supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

This position requires:

l Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

l Ability to work with potentially hazardous machinery.

l Ability to work in a team environment is essential.

l Ability to pay attention to detail.

l Self-motivated and dependable.

l Ability to stand for 8-10 hours.

Decision Making and Problem Solving:

Ability to determine if the work meets the quality standards set by Hoyt. Must make minor decisions regarding Quality concerns.

Interaction with Others:

This job requires the ability to interact with other employees and work as a member of a team. Responsible for maintaining a cohesive work group.

Physical environment – Works in production environment with exposure to varying noise and temperature levels. May be required to do moderate to heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, standing, reaching, walking, and standing for long periods.

Mental pressure* – *Demands to uphold Hoyt quality standards.

Monday – Thursday from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm. & Friday Overtime 5:00 – 3:30 pm
