Key Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Experience with Creo & Windchill is essential.
  • Strong knowledge in Vehicle Electrical Harness Design and Development.
  • Proficient in Wire Harness Routing, Flattening, and Drawing Creation.
  • Skilled in Schematic Creation & Updates following best practices.
  • Deep understanding of Harness Manufacturing.
  • Expertise in Electrical Systems Design, Analysis, and the creation of Manufacturing Drawings, Bills of Material, Wiring/Schematic Diagrams.
  • Ability to propose components and materials for cable design.
  • Experience in Plastic Design for Harness Mounting and Sheet Metal and Plastic Part Design.
  • Proficiency in Parametric Modeling and 3D Modeling, including assembly and detail drawings with GD&T.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in engineering documentation, with the ability to identify and mitigate technical risks.
  • Strong collaboration skills, working with internal and external cross-functional teams to solve problems and verify/validate designs.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work on time, with a focus on continuous improvement.


Role Overview:

As a designer, you will play a crucial role in our team, focusing on Engineering Change Proposals, Technical Data Package verifications, and 3D and 2D renderings for Autonomous Vehicles projects, Tactical Radio, and electrical harnesses/cables. You will interface with both the mechanical and electrical engineering departments to support total system modeling.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering staff to develop 3D cable routings using CREO software.
  • Read and interpret military cable drawings, bill of materials, and create inventory/kit sheets.
  • Revise drawings/models based on redline drawings from technicians.
  • Design Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) and related hardware.
  • Participate in mock-up and installation of NRE hardware on military vehicles.
  • Contribute to on-site project integration at various military installations.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Clearance is a plus, or the ability to obtain one.
  • 2-5 years of WindChill experience.
  • Proficiency with PTC Creo software, Creo Cable Harness, Creo Schematic, AutoCAD, and Adobe Pro.


Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2-4 years of design experience, or 5 years of design experience in lieu of a degree.
