Position title: Lead Systems Integration Technician (LSIT)

Active Security Clearance required


General Summary:

The Lead Systems Integration Technician (LSIT) will support the installation of field systems integration. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure high system and infrastructure availability. The LSIT will ensure the team has access to necessary tools and training, execute department and company policies, and improve processes and standards to meet team, department, and company goals.


Authority/Clearance:

  • No supervisory responsibilities.
  • Requires Secret Security Clearance, with the potential to be cleared to Top Secret.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with no felony convictions.
  • Ability to pass a limited federal background investigation.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee field personnel and tasking on job sites.
  • Perform physical installation; configure devices (e.g., audio DSP, AVoIP, digital matrices, video processors); load control system code; conduct system testing.
  • Evaluate and apply integration quality standards, best practices, processes, and procedures.
  • Participate in assessments of core integration materials and suppliers.
  • Lead or participate in post-project reviews.
  • Evaluate subcontractor capabilities and performance.
  • Draft updates for system integration documentation, including wiring diagrams and final bills of materials.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Systems Integration Manager regarding project and team issues or concerns.
  • Conduct site surveys, analyze customer procurement documentation, and perform AV needs analysis as needed.
  • Provide technical walkthroughs with customers at the end of implementations.

Skills Required:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in audiovisual systems integration.
  • Knowledge of basic project management practices, data networking principles, and secure system design for government environments.
  • Familiarity with systems integration best practices and standards (e.g., cabling, labeling, device installation, signal separation).
  • Experience with various audiovisual technologies, including Direct View LED video walls, projection systems, multi-zone audio, teleconferencing, and enterprise networked control systems.
  • Ability to organize and task on-site field resources and subcontractors for multi-system projects.
  • Competence in reading and understanding architectural and engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for capturing and clarifying customer needs.
  • Strong time management, multitasking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with customers, co-workers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Capability to work autonomously, collaborate within a team, and execute company initiatives.
  • Knowledge of advanced secure system design practices for multi-domain government environments.
  • Conflict negotiation and resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in cable terminations, fiber optic cable terminations and testing, cable management, and mounting various display systems.
  • Skill in loading control system code and configuring audio DSP.
  • Beneficial skills include knowledge of AMX/Crestron source code development, AVIXA and AQAV AV9000 standards, drafting SOPs, managing subcontractor performance, and training junior personnel.
