The Quality Director is responsible for the development and execution of the strategic vision for all Quality and Safety KPI's including data collection, root cause corrective action and effective implementation of counter measures to achieve organizational targets.


Additionally, the candidate must build strong working relationships across various personnel levels from hourly production to executives at four facilities in the U.S., Mexico, and India.


The Quality Director will work under the direction of the Vice President of Operations in a collaborative environment. They will be integral in a cross functional team of engineers, technicians, and production staff who are responsible for the design and execution of processes from concept to commercial production.


Responsibilities:

  • Always demonstrates and promotes a pro-active safety culture.
  • Build safety engagement through awareness and educational activities to promote a zero incidents safety culture.
  • Manage OSHA log and other required annual regulatory submittals.
  • Demonstrates effective use of Lean methodologies to instill proper corrective actions.
  • Utilize and be able to teach root cause, 5-why and A3 problem solving criteria.
  • Track both outgoing and customer experienced quality levels with action plans to improve.
  • Navigate data and lead teams to effective current and future state analysis.
  • Host customer required on-site audits as well as ISO audit leadership where required.
  • Creates standard procedures, work instructions, and validation plans as required.
  • Manages scope, timeline, and requirements to achieve project success.
  • Identifies, communicates, and implements cost savings opportunities.
  • Develops capabilities of site personnel through formal and informal coaching.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in quality, operations or similar technical field.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience with progressive responsibility or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Hands-on, solution oriented (data driven, analytical, process, A3, RCCA) problem solver.
  • Must be an efficient multitasker capable of sound decision making in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have strong analytical skills and demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal relations.
  • Must be willing to be a change management leader across multi-cultural backgrounds.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 25%.
  • Safety or Quality Certifications and QMS experience a plus.
