Position Summary:

As a Fleet Administrator at TEI Construction Services, Inc., you will play a crucial role in managing our company's fleet of vehicles, equipment, and inventory. Your responsibilities will include overseeing CAPEX responsibilities, coordinating maintenance, tracking vehicle usage, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • CAPEX Ownership: Source company requirements, evaluate asset value, and present to management for approval.
  • Purchasing: Secure and purchase necessary assets.
  • Asset Management: Maintain records and locations of all assets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Fleet Knowledge: Possess thorough knowledge of company vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Schedule service appointments, obtain permits, and manage repairs.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repair history.
  • Usage Tracking: Analyze vehicle usage data for efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Inventory Management: Assign vehicles to employees, track availability, and coordinate replacements.
  • Compliance: Ensure safety regulations compliance, conduct safety inspections, and provide driver training, including proficiency in DOT regulations.
  • Vendor Relations: Negotiate favorable pricing and terms for vehicle parts and services with vendors and suppliers.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of fleet policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Reporting: Provide timely and accurate reports on fleet performance, maintenance costs, and other key metrics.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree; additional relevant certifications or education is a plus.
  • Proven experience in fleet management or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
  • Knowledge of applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in using fleet management software or similar tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license.
