Senior Superintendent – Commercial Ground-up Projects

Position Overview:

As a Senior Superintendent, you will lead and supervise all on-site activities for commercial ground-up projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. You will be responsible for the overall project execution, from initial planning through to project completion, with a focus on delivering quality results and client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities for commercial ground-up projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of subcontractors and vendors.
  • Safety Management: Implement and enforce rigorous safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and audits.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct inspections and address any issues promptly to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Schedule Management: Develop, monitor, and adjust project schedules to ensure timely completion of all phases of construction. Address any potential delays or issues proactively.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and provide regular financial reports. Ensure cost-effective solutions and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and effective communication throughout the project.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, change orders, and compliance records. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and manage on-site construction teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Provide guidance and support to junior staff and subcontractors.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial ground-up projects, with a proven track record of managing complex and high-profile projects.
  • Sector Expertise: Extensive experience in commercial construction, with a deep understanding of the requirements and challenges associated with ground-up projects.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, PMP) are a plus.
  • Licenses: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
