Corporate Resources, on behalf of our client located in Niles, IL is hiring for a full-time, permanent General Accountant.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute daily accounting tasks for multiple clients, including maintaining general ledgers, recording any financial transactions, and reconciling accounts
  • Apply a strong understanding of GAAP and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
  • Assist in the monthly close process by posting journal entries related to payroll, prepaid etc.
  • Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
  • Monitor, prepare, and communicate financial reports in accordance with due dates
  • Handle client inquiries in a professional and timely manner, provide clients with accurate invoices, statements, and schedules
  • Keep management aware of any unusual operation or financial occurrences and/or significant deviations
  • Assist in forecasting financial trends and provide insights into potential risks and opportunities


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar strongly preferred
  • CPA or equivalent preferred but not required
  • 1+ year of experience in general accounting for multiple clients/entities
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
