Junior ETF Trader

A leading hedge fund in California is looking to bring on a junior ETF trader. Our client is seeking a highly motivated candidate who is coachable, passionate about markets, and has a strong understanding of options and market direction.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with ETF trading desks to identify new trading opportunities and expand our trading capacity.
• Monitor market trends and assist with trade execution and settlement processes.
• Analyze macro-economic trends and data to identify potential trading opportunities.
• Conduct research and analysis to support trading strategies and decision-making.
• Look for overbought and oversold conditions, as well as breakout signals.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and implement new trading strategies.
• Assist finance in ongoing (daily/monthly) profit and loss (P&L) reconciliations.
• Stay updated on industry and regulatory developments.
• Develop and maintain relationships with sales associates across our platform.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and uphold ethical standards at all times.
• Utilize systems including Bloomberg, Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant tools.

Requirements:

• Previous relevant trading experience (sellside or buyside)
• Passion for investing
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Bachelor's degree is required
