The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation of automobiles from pickup to delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and transportation and be adept at problem-solving and customer service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and Schedule: Plan and schedule vehicle pickups and deliveries, ensuring optimal routing and timely execution.
  • Monitor Fleet: Track the location and status of vehicles using GPS and other tracking systems, ensuring adherence to schedules and addressing any delays or issues.
  • Communicate Effectively: Serve as the primary point of contact between drivers, customers, and internal teams. Provide clear instructions and updates to all parties involved.
  • Handle Inquiries: Manage customer inquiries and concerns, providing prompt and professional responses to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve Issues: Address and resolve any problems or discrepancies that arise during transportation, including route changes, delays, or vehicle issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including delivery schedules, driver logs, and customer interactions.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics role, preferably within the automobile transportation or related industry.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in dispatch software and GPS systems.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly assess and resolve issues, demonstrating strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrated commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in logistics or transportation management is a plus.
