Title: Sr. Systems Analyst with SQL- Investor Support ( Right to hire)

Duration: Long term and contract to hire

Location: Boston, MA ( Onsite 3 days/week)

Client: Asset Management firm

Interview: Video


Keys to the position:

  • Must have experience supporting investors – prefer to see candidates that have experience working with investment tools, research tools, investment reporting, portfolio construction, Factset or Bloomberg background, and the like. Thís person needs to have a strong understanding of holdings, transactions, benchmarks, performance, attribution, etc
  • Must have experience with Equity, Fixed Income and Derivatives. This is the primary area for Level 2 support. They will be working with the Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts, Credit Analysts, and Portfolio Analysts to support them on any of their requests.
  • Must have strong SQL skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as this person will be working directly with the users.
  • There is Production support on a rotation basis requirement – once every 2 months and the person is expected to check the tests that are running and escalate or fix if need be. The time commitment varies from 30 minutes to 3hrs when on-call


Responsibilities:

  • Interact directly with investment professionals at all levels of the organization as a trusted advisor.
  • Proactively identify issues and opportunities for improved methods and approaches to support investment processes.
  • Answer functional and technical questions from business partners and colleagues.
  • Manage production incidents, determining root cause, appropriate corrective actions, and follow-up.
  • Respond to requests from our business for adhoc analysis as well as other information delivery solutions.
  • Design, support, improve, and develop data validation and productivity tools and processes within this area.
