MKC Office Manager - Job Summary

As the Office Manager at Montana Knife Company, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our administrative functions. You will be responsible for managing office activities, maintaining office supplies, coordinating schedules, and providing support to various departments as needed. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in office management tools and programs are essential for success in this role.


Office Manager Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily office operations and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, handling correspondence and executive calendars.
  • Maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for staff members.
  • Prepare and distribute reports, presentations, and other documentation as required.
  • Assist in HR-related tasks, including onboarding new employees and maintaining employee records.
  • Manage inventory of office supplies and place orders as necessary.
  • Assist finance department with data entry and assistance with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Support executive team members with various administrative tasks and projects.
  • Availability at odd hours including nights and weekends. 


Office Manager Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Office Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in office management or administrative roles.
  • Proven experience scheduling Teams, Zoom, and Google meetings. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and software (e.g., QuickBooks) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred but not required.
