Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field with 1-4 years of experience in cell culture and molecular biology.
  • Proficient in basic lab operations and techniques, with hands-on experience in laboratory activities.
  • Basic computer skills including Google Drive, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word are required.
  • Experience with basic molecular biology techniques and biochemical assays including PCR, DNA and RNA extractions, Western blot, and cell viability assays.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Exceptional team player with a high level of initiative to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare various materials for laboratory activities, including mixing 20-25 cell lines for assays.
  • Assist in executing collaborator screens and experiments to improve and optimize screening workflows.
  • Ensure proper storage of cell lines and maintain a sterile lab environment.
  • Implement barcoding procedures to maintain sample traceability and organization within the biorepository.
  • Participate in high-throughput screening as part of a team, utilizing automation equipment.
  • Conduct quality control checks on samples to ensure accuracy and consistency in experimental results.
  • Document and compile data in an electronic notebook.
  • Perform standard lab maintenance to ensure equipment functionality and maintain lab supply.
  • Participate in internal and external team meetings to share results and plan experiments.
  • Perform cell viability analysis using microscopy and other relevant techniques.
  • Conduct experimental tests under the supervision of a senior scientist, contributing to ongoing research initiatives.
