Laboratory Technician

Position: Lab Technician

Location: Garland, TX

Duration: 6-month W2 contract

Description: We are looking for a Lab Technician for a client in Garland, TX. The successful candidate must have good computer and organizational skills.

The extrusion lab assistant performs basic technical tests on products and samples. Primary responsibility will be preparing, filling, and shipping color panel requests. Other responsibilities may include preparing and analyzing materials and samples, performing basic calculations, and cleaning and maintaining the lab.

Responsibilities:

• Perform packaging and daily shipping for department, and Color Science Lab.
• Pull and file stock panels needed for panel requests.
• Perform spray application for coil coatings.
• Spray stock panels for inventory.
• Clean and maintain for a safe working environment.
• Understand processes regarding tasks and requests.
• Receive direction from other technicians on specialized or complex issues
• Tasks are more standard and require limited judgment within established guidelines.

Mandatory Skills

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of basic math skills
• Computer knowledge for basic inputting, communication, and data analysis
• Ability to learn software used in lab.
• Ability to complete work in a timely manner.
• Must pay attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and work with a team.
