Job Title:  Energy Manager (Child Care Center Manager)


Job Purpose  

  • Day-to-day organization, operation and promotion of the Nursery and Energy Center and Party Coordination
  • Deliver genuine hospitality by providing a fun, safe and educational environment for children
  • Encourage families to participate in family focused activities
  • Achieve the highest level of customer service by practicing Club Fit’s core values, which ensure a great member experience. 


Manages Operations 

  • Create and plan staff schedules to provide optimal supervision for the children in the Energy Center and After School Program.
  • Carry out all aspects of party planning and execution
  • Partner with the maintenance team to ensure the best department appearance
  • Respond to members’ inquiries about Club Fit programs and services in a professional and timely manner
  • Comply with all DOH guidelines and regulations
  • Responsible for timesheet approval for immediate direct reports.
  • Work with the staff and parents to help resolve child conflicts quickly and professionally
  • Partner with the management team on cross department projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned 


Staff Results 

  • Communicate job expectations and align them with the company mission statement and core values
  • Plan, monitor and appraise performance results by following job review standards and schedule
  • Ensure the staff compensation packages are reviewed promptly. 
  • Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures. 
  • Provide continuous training to all staff to reinforce department standards and enhance professional skills. 
  • Hold monthly staff meetings to educate on systems, policies, and procedures, and provide team training focusing on interactive and enjoyable children's activities. 
  • Oversee the hiring process for Energy Childcare staff. 
  • Train, coach, and mentor staff consistently for personal development, quality service, and future growth. 
  • Make sure team members understand and advocate for Club Fit's children's programs. 
  • Assist and encourage staff in promoting and adopting a healthy lifestyle.


Department Strategy and Planning 

  • Develop a business plan / budget that results in growing our participation in programs and improving net income each year
  • Pay attention to details by ensuring web site and promotional materials are current and accurate
  • Creatively implement ways to increase department revenue
  • Develop innovative programming that enhances the member’s well-being and enhance the club value


Professional and Technical Knowledge 

  • Education and Experience 

Associate's degree in child development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or related field

Two years direct experience working with children less than 13 years of age, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a childcare program or related field of work

  • Ongoing Club Fit Training in 1Huddle 

Including, but not limited to:  Bloodborne Pathogens, Emergency Response Protocol (ERP), Sexual Harassment, Cyber Security and Child Sexual Abuse Prevention

  • Maintain current CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification
  • Maintain current First Aid certification 
  • Other 
  • Attend educational workshops
  • Establish professional networks and demonstrating a commitment to embracing the neighborhood 


Teamwork  


  • Respond to member feedback (if applicable)
  • Participate in the Manager on Duty program with the ability to work 1 weekend day per month.
  • Participate in internal and external community events with focus on promoting Club Fit programs and services
  • Attend weekly manager meetings, weekly GM meetings, and monthly dual club meetings
  • Maintain a positive and professional work relationship with staff at all levels in the club 


Job Requirements 

Ability to: 

  • Sit for extended periods of time 
  • Lift a minimum of 20-30 lbs. 
  • Understand and communicate both verbally and written in English 
  • Follow relevant directions 
  • Think independently and suggest effective solutions to potential challenges 
  • Understand and comply with all company safety policies and their requirements 
  • Attend training meetings as scheduled 
  • Work a Monday-Friday schedule with working hours of 10:30-6:30pm. Also, must be able to offer some flexibility as required by business needs
