Location: Malvern, PA 19355

Duration: 6 Months

Pay Rate: $23.00/hr - $29.00.hr W2

Shift: 8am – 5pm

  • ResponsibilitiesIncumbent will assist in measurements of the product acoustics, mechanics and weathering performances.
  • The individual will independently or with the help of another conduct lab performance testing on specific equipment.
  • This can be labor intensive and includes installation and deconstruction of a full ceilings suspension system (grid and tiles).
  • Individual must maintain a safe working environment in laboratories by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • They must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. (cartons of ceiling tiles) and be comfortable working at heights. (Motorized lift used).
  • Should be comfortable using tools such as a knife to cut edge samples with appropriate PPE.
  • Individual must be able to multitask effectively and meet specific deadlines.
  • Sample preparation can take some time, so it is good practice to prepare the next sample as the initial sample is being tested.
  • Sample load can be a lot at times so organization is key
  • After performing necessary tests, the individual would be required to analyse and communicate any data to the requestor.
  • The individual will be cross trained for various operations in the lab.
  • SkillsHands-on skills in safely conducting laboratory experiments
  • Good attention to detail and quality of work. Organization is key.
  • Written and oral communication to supervisor
  • Knowledge of Ceilings/grid and/or drywall industry is a plus
  • Associates degree in scientific field is desirable, but professional experience is more favourable
  • Responsibilities includes preparation, installation and deconstruction of ceilings product.
  • Knowledge of computer and software use as Microsoft Excel and specific testing equipment software.
  • This can include analyzing data in excel.
