Civil Litigation Attorney

Porter Scott, Sacramento's premier civil litigation firm, is looking for attorneys who are ambitious and energetic self-starters with an interest in civil litigation. Excellent writing, oral advocacy and time-management skills are required. Prior law firm experience is preferred, but not required. Candidates should be members in good standing with the California State Bar.
The position offers competitive compensation, objective bonus opportunities, comprehensive medical benefits, 401k, flex-spending account, open PTO, paid Bar dues, CLE, the opportunity to work remotely, formal mentoring and litigation training. Pay range is $110,000 to $140,000 DOE.
We bring associates on-board and provide them with the support and training needed to flourish. Our goal is for every associate to ultimately become a shareholder with our office. No firm provides better experience more quickly than Porter Scott.
Responsibilities:
- All aspects of litigation, including defense strategy development, written discovery, drafting and arguing motions, taking, and defending depositions, trial preparation and trial.
- Work collaboratively with partners, other associates to develop appropriate legal strategies.
- Provide direction to supporting legal assistants, law clerks and paralegals.
