Senior Project Manager

A leading company is seeking a Senior Project Manager based in Andover, MA. This role will oversee strategic programs and projects aligned with new product development and innovation initiatives. The Senior Project Manager will lead both internal and cross-functional teams, as well as coordinate with external partners for co-development activities. This position is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of project milestones, meeting executive expectations, and managing scope, timelines, budgets, and risks to achieve business objectives within budget and on schedule.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage cross-functional teams, including consultants and contractors, to ensure the successful completion of project deliverables.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, charters, roles, budgets, and ROI projections, including ongoing operational costs.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and partners, drafting Statements of Work as required.
  • Prepare cost estimates and monitor project budgets, initiating cost-control measures as needed.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Obtain approvals for project documentation to ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to team members in project management practices and processes.
  • Establish consistent project management practices across the organization.
  • Develop and implement risk management plans to monitor and address potential risks.
  • Participate in design reviews, project risk assessments, and FMEA activities to ensure compliance with objectives.
  • Manage project budgets ranging from $1M to $5M, with project timelines typically spanning 1-3 years across multiple locations and external partners.
  • Oversee 2-4 large-scale development projects and additional intermediate projects as required.
  • Perform other duties as needed.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • 7+ years of project management experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong team-building and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to promote a shared vision and maintain a customer-centric approach.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP or IPMA certification.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Expertise in new product commercialization.
  • Technical background with experience in manufacturing, hardware, software development, and electronics.
  • Proven success in managing cross-functional teams across multiple locations to meet project objectives.
