Job Summary:

The Nurse Administrator will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of services within our Ambulatory Surgery Center. This role requires a strong leader with excellent organizational and communication skills, who can effectively manage staff, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintain high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Management:

- Oversee the daily operations of the Facility, ensuring efficient and effective patient care delivery.

- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.

- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting team engagement and professional development.

2. Clinical Oversight:

- Ensure that clinical practices adhere to established protocols, best practices, and regulatory standards.

- Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

- Address and resolve patient care concerns and ensure patient satisfaction.

3. Regulatory Compliance:

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to ambulatory surgical care.

- Ensure the center's compliance with all regulatory requirements, including documentation, infection control, and safety standards.

- Prepare for and manage accreditation and licensing processes.

4. Administrative Duties:

- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the Facility in alignment with the center’s goals and objectives.

- Manage budgets, including resource allocation and cost control.

- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure cohesive and effective patient care and center operations.

5. Patient Care Coordination:

- Oversee patient flow and coordination of care, ensuring timely and efficient surgical services.

- Implement and monitor patient care protocols, including preoperative and postoperative care.

- Facilitate communication between patients, families, and the surgical team.

6. Quality Improvement:

- Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

- Analyze performance metrics and implement strategies to address any areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.

- Licensure: Current RN license in Indiana

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or administrative role within an ambulatory surgery center or similar setting.

Skills:

- Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.

- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare management software.

- Familiarity with outpatient financial metrics
