Summary:

We are looking for a Disaster Recovery Analyst to join our client's team. This candidate is responsible for developing, maintaining, and testing disaster recovery plans to ensure organizational resilience in the face of disruptions. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting risk assessments, managing vendor relationships, and executing training sessions to enhance organizational preparedness for emergencies. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical writing skills and effective communication abilities to convey complex technical information to business leaders and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and test comprehensive disaster recovery plans and process documentation, including user manuals, guides, and reports.
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts and cross-functional teams to integrate disaster recovery and business continuity plans across emergency management, information security, and service management.
• Communicate complex technical information effectively to facilitate understanding and engagement among stakeholders.
• Conduct regular training and awareness sessions, including tabletop drills and real failover scenarios, to enhance team preparedness.
• Perform risk assessments to identify potential threats and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Stay informed on the latest trends and best practices in disaster recovery to ensure the organization meets current standards.
• Oversee data recovery management across virtual and physical environments to safeguard organizational assets.
• Evaluate past disasters to identify improvement areas and incorporate lessons learned into disaster recovery plans.
• Define roles and responsibilities within the disaster recovery team to establish accountability and ensure smooth operations.
• Secure physical locations as part of the disaster recovery protocol.
• Manage relationships with disaster recovery service vendors and oversee service provider contracts to ensure quality and compliance.
• Set up alerts and notification systems to promptly inform employees of disasters or emergencies.
• Promote responsibility and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across disaster recovery efforts and related programs.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in disaster recovery program documentation, policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage business leaders in discussions about disaster recovery efforts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong technical writing skills to produce clear and concise documentation and user guides.
• Proven experience in training and facilitating awareness sessions related to disaster recovery.
