About the Position

Goodyear is excited to announce we are hiring a Corporate Pilot to provide both domestic and international air transportation for company executives in support of Goodyear's global business objectives. This job allows for both a technical role as well as Corporate exposures and responsibilities. The pilot is responsible for the safe operation of complex, high performance, jet aircrafts. This will include an international aircraft as well as domestic. The work environment is dynamic in nature, requiring immediate and proper decision-making while operating at a variety of locations from large metropolitan airports to smaller uncontrolled airfields. Direct contacts are made with the highest-level company executives, leaders of other companies, customers, and distinguished guests. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to react calmly and appropriately in a rapidly changing environment, and a professional demeanor which inspires confidence while promoting a favorable image of the company in both the business and aviation communities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring safe air transportation for top level executives while adhering to all Federal, State, Local and Company regulations.
  • Maintain proficiency in G450 and G150 aircraft to provide the company with greater versatility in air services.
  • Attains and maintains the highest level of knowledge and proficiency to safeguard company personnel and assets.
  • Responsible for pre-flight planning including: analysis of aviation weather data, flight manual limitations, and calculating aircraft performance criteria. Pre-flight coordination is required with internal and external contacts such as passengers, dispatch, air traffic control & the aircraft maintenance staff. The ratio of time spent in flight planning to that of actual flying is about 2:1.
  • Other duties include semi-annual recurrent training to maintain proficiency and knowledge levels, attendance at professional and technical seminars, coordinating with maintenance to address aircraft equipment problems and various administrative duties.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • FAA First Class Medical certificate required.
  • Airline Transport License (ATP) required.
  • Valid U.S. Passport.
  • 3000 total flight hours.
  • 1000 hours Turbine flight time.
  • 500 hours of Turbine Pilot in Command time.
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems and avionics, aircraft emergency procedures, instrument flight procedures, FAA regulations, international flight rules, and IS-BAO/SMS.

Desired Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • International flight experience preferred.
