About Us: We are a prominent Commercial Litigation law firm in Chicago Loop area focused on achieving exceptional results for our clients. We specialize in a comprehensive range of corporate and business litigation matters. We are seeking a competent Litigation Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team of professionals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Providing administrative support to lawyers and enhancing office effectiveness.
  2. Handling communication with clients, witnesses etc.
  3. Administratively supporting and attending trials.
  4. Preparing case briefs and summarizing depositions, interrogatories, and testimony.
  5. Conducting research and gathering relevant information to the case.
  6. Collecting, verifying and analyzing evidence such as records, medical records, and other case-related data.
  7. Organizing and updating case files and case tracking system.
  8. Assisting with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents.
  9. Scheduling appointments, meetings, court depositions, and hearings.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven working experience as a litigation legal assistant in commercial law.
  2. Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols in the commercial litigation sector.
  3. Working knowledge of litigation management software is a plus.
  4. Excellent secretarial and organizational skills.
  5. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  6. High-level of proficiency in MS Office suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  8. Strong attention to detail.
  9. Proactive, able to work independently, and efficient in meeting deadlines.

Education:

  • An Associate's degree or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Paralegal certification is a plus

Experience: At least 2-5 years of experience in commercial litigation support or a similar role.
