Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Veterinarian located in Oconomowoc, WI. The Veterinarian will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various illnesses of small animals and providing necessary vaccines, medications, and treatments. They will also be responsible for maintaining clear, accurate, and current medical records, working with certified veterinary technicians, and making veterinary medical decisions based on professionalism, ethical standards, and best practices in veterinary medicine.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary college
• Current Wisconsin veterinary license, or the ability to obtain Wisconsin veterinary license
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with clients, patients, and staff
• Ability to work cooperatively with fellow team members, follow established protocols, and uphold high medical standards
• Ability to diagnose and treat illnesses of small animals and perform basic surgeries
• Experience with ultrasound, digital radiographs, and in-house blood machines is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask and handle stressful situations with composure
• Commitment to continuing education and staying up-to-date on the latest medical advances in the veterinary field
