Your day-to-day may include:

  • Assessing and examining patients.
  • Conducting laboratory tests on specimens for diagnosing medical conditions.
  • Performing diagnostic imaging and ultrasound tests.
  • Assisting in surgery, dressing, and treating wounds.
  • Monitoring anesthesia.
  • Promoting preventative care by advocating and administering routine vaccinations, and by educating clients on positive diet and lifestyle choices for pets.
  • Improving patients' dental health by performing checkups, and cleaning.
  • Ensuring compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintaining patients' medical records.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • 1+ years of Veterinary Technician experience (the more, the merrier)
  • CVT License is a must; specialty experience is a bonus
  • A positive attitude and great communication skills for connecting with clients and teammates
  • Passion for providing top-notch veterinary care for man's best friend and desire to grow and thrive in the veterinary field
