Our client is one of the largest dairy producers in the US, their business supports a network of local cooperatives, independent dealers, and other large retailers serving producers, and animal owners throughout the United States. Through industry-leading R&D and committed partnerships, they innovate nutrition products and practices. Our client is looking for big thinkers and big dreamers to help them imagine the future of food and agriculture.


As they continue growing, they are looking for a Quality Manager for their Melrose, MN location to oversee the Food Safety and Quality Department, Quality Lab, Audit Process, and Food Safety/Security. The role entails providing local leadership in quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to specifications and certification standards such as EQMS and BRCGS. The ideal candidate should possess a strong knowledge of state and federal requirements and maintain effective communication with site management teams and corporate quality.

  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance and food safety protocols in a food manufacturing setting, including personnel training, consumer complaint resolution, HACCP plan management, and laboratory oversight.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manage audits, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Implement corrective actions, maintain records, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to uphold product quality and safety standards.


What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Dairy Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in the dairy plant or food manufacturing industry, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in people leadership and practical audit roles.
  • Certification in HACCP is required, while certifications in GFSI and PCQI are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in interacting with regulatory personnel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as proficiency in computer usage.
