Commercial Diver/Tender

This Opportunity

Harper & Associates Engineering, Inc. is currently seeking a Commercial Diver to join our team in Southern CA. This position will be primarily a 7am-3pm, Monday-Friday schedule with occasional overnight travel to different areas of California. The dive team uses dry suits to evaluate and clean potable water tanks.

Job Responsibilities

·         Perform underwater diving, cleaning, and photography.

·         Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment as both the diver and tender

·        Take photographs of the outside of the tank and surrounding area

·        Collect paint samples from the interior and exterior of the tank

·        Conduct underwater inspections

·        Ability to check and maintain diving equipment such as helmets, masks, air tanks, harness, and gauges.

·        Ability to work in confined or enclosed spaces.

·        Climb ladders or steps to reach objects.

Required Qualifications

·        High school diploma or equivalent

·        Authorized to work in the United States.

·        Commercial Diving Certification

·        Dependability, honesty, and integrity

·        Computer Skills: Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office applications, Adobe PDFs

·        Must be able to work well in a team

·        Must be willing to travel as needed, including overnight stays when out of town

·        Valid Driver License with current driving record free from serious or frequent violation

·        Sufficient physical stamina to work long hours outdoors under various field conditions and exposure to traffic, extreme heat, and cold

·        Climbing, bending, crawling, and working in confined spaces and on uneven terrain

·        Ability to lift 75+ lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

·         Familiarity with underwater photography

Diver/Tender Pay: $81.95/hr. - $136.37/hr.

Office Pay: $20-$28
