Job Posting: Applications Architect 2 (Dataverse Developer)


Position Summary:

A contract opportunity is available for an Applications Architect 2, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing applications for complex systems. This role involves overseeing the development process from conception to completion, serving as a Dataverse Developer, Data Analyst, Solution Architect, and Security Specialist. The position requires expertise in Dataverse administration, data migration, and integration with Microsoft Power Platform tools.


Job Details:

  • Location: Hybrid (Primary location: 701 W. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78751)
  • Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (flexible for weekends/evenings as needed)
  • Travel: Travel expenses (per diem, parking, living) are at the candidate's expense, with pre-approved written authorization for any work-related travel.


Responsibilities:

  • Dataverse Administration:
  • Perform advanced administration tasks for Dataverse, including managing tables, entities, fields, and relationships.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Dataverse solutions, including creating custom entities, workflows, and plugins.
  • Manage the Dataverse environment, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.
  • Data Migration & Analysis:
  • Migrate data from other databases (e.g., Oracle/SQL) to Dataverse.
  • Analyze data stored in Dataverse to provide actionable insights.
  • Solution Architecture:
  • Design comprehensive solutions using Dataverse, integrating it with other Microsoft Power Platform tools and applications.
  • Security Management:
  • Implement and manage security roles within Dataverse to ensure data protection and compliance.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with functional and technical teams, collaborating on the design and development of applications.
  • Provide updates and recommendations to project stakeholders.


Minimum Requirements:

  • 6 years of experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments.
  • 6 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft PowerApps and Power Automate.
  • 6 years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform development.
  • 5 years of expertise in Dataverse tables, security models, and roles.
  • 5 years of experience migrating data from Oracle/SQL to Dataverse.
  • 5 years of experience with Power Automate Cloud Flows, Desktop Flows, and business process flows.
  • Preferred experience with Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) Admin Center, Agile development, and sprint planning.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge of security practices in Dataverse.
  • Ability to design scalable solutions and manage data migrations.


Terms of Service:

  • The contract may be amended, renewed, or extended with mutual agreement.
  • Payment for overtime (over 40 hours per week) must be pre-approved and will be paid at the quoted hourly rate.


Other Special Requirements:

  • The position is hybrid and requires local candidates (within the Austin, TX area).
  • Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams.
