SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Fleet Coordinator will work directly with the Fleet Manager to oversee the procurement and maintenance of company vehicles.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with third-party vendor to ensure full compliance with DOT requirements.
  • Work with our family of companies and third-party vendor to ensure that we are maximizing benefits of repairs and subrogation.
  • Work with third-party vendor to administer national account of rental cars.
  • Work with our internal Safety Department to administer and ensure usage of third-party vehicle cameras and GPS.
  • Generate reports, purchase orders, memos, and other documents as needed.
  • Provide assistance to the Fleet Operations Manager in finding and securing vehicles and/or equipment as needed.
  • Research vendors and collect prices, specifications, and other data related to goods and services.
  • Establish and maintain recordkeeping system for purchasing department.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to learn purchasing procedures and policies.
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two years of clerical experience preferred.
  • Knowledge in DOT regulations and requirements is a plus.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
