Position: Electrical DesignerCompensation: $39 - 47/hour, depending on experienceLocation: Lexington, KentuckyInceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Electrical Designer to join their teamJoin a dynamic team of engineers and project managers in downtown Lexington. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse electrical projects, including substations and commercial/industrial designs. This role is open due to expanding project demands and offers a chance to showcase your design skills in a collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities & Duties:Design electrical schematics and grid plan layoutsCreate electrical power systems and lighting systemsDevelop protection and controls, and site and facility designsFollow company, client, and project design standardsPlan and develop drawings for production workExecute changes to designs and mark-ups on ongoing projectsAnalyze reports, drawings, and tests for project planningReview design drawings for quality assuranceOrganize and maintain project drawings and filesCommunicate clearly with project team membersRequired Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's Degree in drafting technology or related field with 7+ years experienceAssociate Degree with 8+ years experience or High School with 9+ years experienceAdvanced skills in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and ExcelAbility to utilize 2D and 3D applications for engineering drawingsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsNice to Have Skills & Experience:Experience with substation designAbility to learn and utilize new design software programsExperience with project management and teamwork in multi-discipline environmentsPerks & Benefits:3 different medical health insurance plans, dental, and vision insuranceVoluntary and Long-term disability insurancePaid time off, 401k, and holiday payWeekly direct deposit or pay card depositOther Information:Onsite position; no hybrid or relocation options availableContract for 6 months with potential for full-time employment5% travel for client site walkdowns, no overnight travel expectedInterview process includes one in-office interviewIf you are interested in learning more about the Electrical Designer opportunity, please submit your resume for consideration.
