Job Summary:

Our client, a leader in the energy sector based in Houston, TX, is seeking an experienced Oracle Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Consultant to join their remote team. This role will primarily focus on supporting the configuration of Oracle PPM to meet the business needs, delivering a high volume of configurations and adjustments. Ideal candidates will bring hands-on experience with Oracle PPM implementations, configuration, and support, as well as proficiency in data conversion, which is crucial for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams to design, configure, and implement Oracle PPM solutions tailored to business requirements.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify and address configuration needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Oracle PPM modules, providing proactive solutions to enhance performance.
  • Lead or assist in data conversion activities, including data mapping, cleansing, and validation.
  • Utilize project management methodologies to define project scope, timelines, and milestones, ensuring on-time delivery of configurations.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, tracking key deliverables, dependencies, and project risks.
  • Ensure high-quality documentation of configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
  • Support ongoing deliverables for multiple Oracle PPM projects, managing competing priorities effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience with Oracle PPM configurations, implementations, and support.
  • Proficiency in data conversion processes, including data mapping, transformation, and migration within Oracle environments.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to support planning, tracking, and delivering complex projects.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with experience managing project timelines and milestones to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders in a remote setting.
  • Energy industry experience is a plus, though not required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Oracle Cloud certification in PPM or related modules.
  • Familiarity with other Oracle Cloud ERP modules.
  • Prior experience in a remote, project-based environment.
