IT Director


Summary

A Japanese food manufacturing company is seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Director to lead our IT department and drive technological initiatives within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, IT security best practices, and network and infrastructure management.


  1. Essential DutiesERP Management:
  • Oversee the implementation, customization, and maintenance of our ERP system to meet the organization's needs.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify ERP requirements and optimize system functionality.
  • Provide leadership and direction to ERP administrators and support staff.
  1. IT Security:
  • Develop and implement IT security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect the organization's digital assets.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging threats and trends in cybersecurity and proactively mitigate risks.
  1. Network and Infrastructure:
  • Manage the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure, including hardware, software, and telecommunications systems.
  • Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of network services to meet business requirements.
  • Lead efforts to optimize network efficiency and minimize downtime through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
  1. Team Leadership:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for team members and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Encourage professional development and skills enhancement to ensure the team remains current with technology trends and best practices.
  1. Vendor Management:
  • Evaluate and select third-party vendors and service providers for IT-related products and services.
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of service.
  • Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  1. Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and execute an IT strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for technological innovation and process improvement to drive business growth and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define IT priorities and allocate resources effectively.

  • QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a focus on ERP management, IT security, and network infrastructure in the manufacturing industry, preferably in the food manufacturing company.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex IT projects from conception to implementation.
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and their integration with other enterprise systems.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, including risk management, incident response, and compliance requirements.
  • Expertise in network architecture, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VPN, SD-WAN) and experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-focused mindset and a passion for leveraging technology to drive business innovation and growth.
