Quality Control Specialist

What you should know: Mulberry is partnering with a local produce distributor to bring a Quality Control Specialist to join their team This role will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on all products entering and exiting our facility to ensure high quality of products. A successful candidate will have a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.


A day in the life:

  • Understand and implement Quality Control Procedures.
  • Perform check-in of all incoming products: take samples, complete paperwork, submit to Food Safety Manager for approval or rejection based on company specifications.
  • Organize and prepare all samples for laboratory testing.
  • Check over and clear batch paperwork, in communication with production staff.
  • Coordinate with Repack Supervisor to ensure orders are on track to ship out on time.
  • Investigate all deviations from set standards, prepare reports.
  • Keep records, logs, files, binders, and spreadsheets up to date and organized.
  • Serve as an active member of the HAACP Food Safety Team.
  • Order materials needed for production and personnel (e.g. boxes, water, etc.).
  • Communicate regularly with production, shipping, and office staff.
  • Count and report product inventory on board and in other systems.
  • Create order sheets.


Your areas of knowledge and expertise:

  • Bachelor’s degree is highly desired
  • 1-2+ years of experience in quality control is required
  • Detail oriented, organized, tech savvy, and able to work well independently
  • Experience in agriculture, or distribution preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus


Compensation and Benefits: $29-32/HR with medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k with a company match, PTO, paid holidays and more
