Centerline currently operates in three main sectors of heavy civil contracting: Renewables, Transmission-Distribution lines, and Substations. We have positioned ourselves as critical to the success of the installation of underground/overhead utilities and solar fields. Centerline is operational on the West Coast and as far east as Indiana.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and compile estimate data; cost of labor, materials, equipment requirements, location, and other factors to ensure an accurate and timely estimate as your final product.
  • The ability to win bids, due to having a competitive and experienced knowledge base.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and proposed project site conditions; record findings and solicit input from field operations to include in estimates.
  • Present estimates and participate in bid reviews with senior management to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate with owners, subcontractors, customers to ensure competitiveness.
  • A commitment to understanding company goals and objectives and meeting or exceeding them consistently.

Required Competencies and Experience:

  • Seven plus years of estimating experience bidding heavy civil projects.
  • Experience devoted to Price/Cost Estimation - reviewing bids from subcontractors, evaluating price/cost of materials and labor.
  • Ability to network with applicable subcontractors and customers for the purpose of obtaining estimate input, preliminary bids, and product information.
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Experience with AGTEK / HCSS / BlueBeam
  •  Expertise in multiple estimating processes including line item estimating, take offs and cost estimating methodologies.
  •  Experience working in a collaborative environment.
  •  Ability to work well under tight deadlines.
  • A proven track record of success that is verifiable and warrants a senior title.
  • Strong working knowledge of the benefits of Cost Competitive Execution, Excel to Win, Business Risk Management Framework (BRMF) and Strategy to Win.
  • Ability to pass a background check and must have an insurable driving record.

Job Type:

  • Salaried, Exempt, Full Time.

Pay:

  • Starting at $100,000.00, Depending on Experience.

Education and Experience:

  • Construction estimating 7+ years (Preferred)
