Responsible for the day to day maintenance, administration, and management of the infrastructure LAN/WAN/SAN/VOICE and related components. This role will be responsible for activities such as performing upgrades, installations and troubleshooting, development and documentation of system standards, and recommendation and scheduling of repairs for networks as well as keeping the network secure from a variety of threats on a global level.


•Assist and take direction from Director of Infrastructure in management and administration of the company’s LAN/WAN environment, including moves, adds, and changes

•Maintain documentation of processes, network configurations, and systems detailing locations and configurations for all assigned projects.

•Inform the IT department and Director of Infrastructure of planned and unplanned system outages in a manner consistent with established communication, escalation and change control policies.

•Complete administrative duties as assigned (e.g. ticket updates, status reporting, labor reporting)

•Proactively monitor Network environment and take ownership of networking related incidents and projects

•Install, maintain, and monitor Cisco routers, switches, WAN and wireless technology as well as IP routing protocols. Support point to point WAN technology and LAN and SAN topologies as required. Architect, design and implement network security policies, procedures, VPN and ASA firewall.

Experience needed

• Three -five years related experience; or at least eight years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology or related technical discipline is highly desired.

•Certifications in Networking or Security a plus.

•Experience in,installation and maintenance of IT infrastructure and environments

•Experienced in Cisco router, switch and firewall configuration and troubleshooting using a variety of hardware platforms and IOS revisions

•Experienced in configuring and troubleshooting LAN/WAN technologies and routing protocols (TCP/IP, Etherchannel, 802.1Q, Spanning-Tree, BGP Routing, QoS and VoIP)

•Experience in configuring and troubleshooting IPSEC and SSL VPN

•Experience in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco ASA and Barracuda Firewalls

•Intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS)

•Security Incident and Event Management systems (SIEM)

•Experience with 802.11 wireless, Access Points and controllers is required

•Strong customer focus and sense of urgency
