Job Description:

· The Transmission Engineer position holds the responsibility for the safe, reliable, and economic round-the-clock operation of the electric transmission system.

· Duties include engineering responsibilities for the design, construction, maintenance, and operation activities of our electric transmission lines, producing design packages for electric transmission.

· Capital projects required to ultimately provide service and increased reliability to our customers, generating project estimates & schedules, participating in root cause analyses, studying encroachment cases, developing & managing contracts for labor and materials, making site visits to monitor construction activities, and other engineering activities as they arise.

· Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field from an ABET accredited four-year college or university. Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas.


Experience:

· 5 years of experience PLS CADD, 5 years of experience post degree Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field from an ABET accredited four-year college or university, Professional Engineering License.

· 8 plus years of experience, candidates who were previously employed as Civil Engineers, Mechanical Engineers or Electrical Engineers would be a great fit.
