My client is a fast-growing start-up with a product line already creating a steady revenue stream and changing the Biosensory device landscape in the science industry. Their product creates and records important data that they are looking to leverage and offer to their partners in the future. As such they are looking for a Head of Software Engineering who will be managing the development of the compatible software ecosystem and conceptualize high-level software system designs.
This is an important role that will be imperative to the company and provide the opportunity to influence how the company grows and succeeds in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of software and firmware engineers
- Design, build and document scalable solutions to complex biosensing problems
- Conceptualize high-level software system designs
- Direct UI/UX feature improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science
- 7+ years of experience managing product lifecycle for professional software products
- Experience managing teams of software and firmware developers
- Experience developing for all operating systems (MacOS/Windows/Linux)
- Experience with C, C++, Java, Python, C#, Unity and/or Unreal Engine, Javascript and cloud computing.
- Experience writing firmware, contemporary radio communication protocols, and low-level software code.
