Role and Responsibilities:

As an Associate Attorney specializing in defense practice, you will:


Legal Research and Analysis:

Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies, utilizing various legal databases and resources.

Analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and legal precedent to develop sound legal arguments and strategies.


Case Management:

Manage a caseload of defense cases, ensuring timely and effective representation of clients' interests.

Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.


Client Communication:

Interact with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to communicate case updates, negotiate settlements, and provide legal advice.


Court Appearances:

Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations as required, presenting persuasive arguments and advocating for our clients' positions.


Collaboration and Teamwork:

Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm to develop strategies and share knowledge to achieve optimal outcomes for our clients.


Compliance and Ethics:

Adhere to ethical standards and maintain compliance with legal regulations in all aspects of case management and representation.


Hybrid Remote Work:

As a firm, we operate in a Hybrid Remote capacity with 2-3 days per week in the office following an in office training period to foster collaboration and team integration.



Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in California.
  • 1-3 years of experience in defense litigation, preferably in general liability, premises liability, or products liability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
