Summary

The Mechanical Designer/Drafter will be responsible for coordinating various engineering tasks, ensuring that they are completed on time, and meet customer expectations. A strong candidate will have knowledge and experience in

the following areas: Transformers, Electrical & Mechanical Structural Design, 2D CAD Drawings, Schematics and Line Diagrams, 3D Modeling, and Inventor Assemblies.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with mechanical design and modeling of various products including, but not limited to 3 Phase Transformers, 50/60 Hz PC Mount Transformers and Chokes, Audio Transformers (except telephone), Computer and Medical Grade Isolation Transformers, Defense / Aerospace Transformers and Coils, Electrical Equipment and Apparatus Transformers and Reactors, etc.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and other project-related documents. Ensure that all project documentation is properly filed, organized, and easily accessible to team members.


Knowledge/Skills Requirements

  • 4 Year Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or current Senior)
  • 3 years of experience using AutoCAD 2D or comparable software
  • 1 year of experience using Inventor, Solidworks, or comparable 3D software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
  • Fluent in English


Preferred Additional Skills

  • Experience in the direct design of transformer equipment including Core & Coil design, clamping structures, lead routing, tank design, etc.
  • Some programming experience in Visual Basic, C#, Python, etc.


Job Details

  • Job Type: Full-time, Salary
  • Schedule: 9hrs Monday thru Thursdays, and 4hrs on Fridays
  • Work Location: On-Site in Milwaukee, WI
