Help Desk Associate


Our IT Department is looking to hire a Help Desk Associate in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of corporate network architecture and a sharp focus on internal customer service. This includes deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining Mac OS and Windows, and familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems. We are looking for someone with the drive and self-motivation to learn and grow with the team, and to take on increasing responsibilities within the IT department. Responsibilities

  • Act as the first line of internal IT support, addressing issues directly or escalating if necessary.
  • Complete tickets and documentation in our Zendesk ticketing system
  • Manage devices using Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune
  • Configure and manage SaaS tools, including Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom
  • Document existing and future systems, networks, and procedures, and create how-tos and knowledgebase articles
  • Conduct system backups, phishing campaigns, and quarterly access reviews.
  • Image, deploy, and provide training for new end-user hardware
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including account creation and device provisioning


Requirements

Demonstrated experience with the following is desired:

  • Configuration and management of JAMF Pro, Microsoft Intune, and Google Workspace
  • An innate ability to provide helpful and positive tech support for internal customers of a varying range of technical capability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication ability
  • Windows and Linux server operating systems
  • Client operating systems, including Mac OS, Windows
  • Network hardware, including basic switch, router, firewall, and wireless access point configuration
  • Network services, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS

Education/Experience:

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • Technical certifications a plus: A+, CCNA, etc.


Other useful skills/experience

  • Positive attitude and growth mindset
  • Takes initiative and delivers results with minimal supervision
  • Strong business acumen, technical aptitude, analytical skills, & attention to detail
  • Ability to clearly & concisely communicate with users in different roles and with varying skill sets
  • Technical certifications are a plus (A+, CCNA, etc.)
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, powershell, etc. is a plus.
