Robotics and Automation Engineer


We are looking for a Robotics and Automation Technician to design automated solutions for robotic manufacturing weld cells. This includes developing fixtures, implementing safety measures, programming PLCs, integrating robotics, and applying lean manufacturing techniques. Successful candidates will have a strong foundation in one or more technical areas (e.g., AutoCAD, robotics, PLC programming) and a demonstrated ability to expand their expertise through collaboration with team members.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design robotic cells for fabricating assemblies using fixtures, welding robots, and PLC programming.
  • Develop solutions that prioritize safety and optimize manufacturing efficiency.
  • Conduct and document risk assessments of automated cells in compliance with ANSI/RIA R15.06 standards.
  • Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and provide training for new systems.
  • Inspect system-related safety devices to ensure proper functionality before system startup.
  • Monitor critical quality process settings for PLCs, robots, welders, and material handlers.
  • Troubleshoot automation systems to resolve technical issues and minimize downtime.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in designing and implementing robotic and automation systems.
  • Proficient in programming and troubleshooting PLCs, robots, and welding equipment (experience with Rockwell, Fanuc, and Miller is a plus).
  • Skilled in 2D/3D modeling software such as SolidWorks or CREO Wildfire.


Candidates with good welding experience without robotics and PLC programming are encouraged to apply as training will be provided
