Position Overview:


Terren Landscapes is a premium high-end residential landscape design/build/maintenance team. We are expanding our team as we continue to grow by seeking a Nursery Manager to oversee all plant ordering and manage our nursery/inventory. You will be responsible for ordering plants/trees as needed for our design/build projects, manage relationships with nurseries and sometimes visit nurseries, ensure quality selections, and identifying efficiencies in our ordering of plants.


This role offers a unique blend of hands-on experience in critical operational tasks such as procurement and inventory management, project management, and relationship management with other businesses (B2B). You will collaborate closely with our landscape designers & build team, contribute to weekly project planning meetings, and ensure our projects have the necessary resources to come to life.


The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with landscaping and a strong interest in horticulture/plant knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the procurement process for plants and materials, including sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory for plants, shrubs, annuals, trees.
  • Maintain strong relationships with our nurseries.
  • Work in tandem with both the design and construction teams to align on project requirements, timelines, and specific materials needs.
  • Oversee our nursery at our facility to ensure plants are well cared for and the correct plants are being delivered and sent out to correct job sites.


Qualifications:


  • Degree in the landscaping or horticulture fields, with a desire to learn and grow within the industry.
  • Basic understanding of plants, landscaping materials, and design principles
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Proactive communication skills, especially regarding coordination with vendors and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Drive, etc.) for effective project documentation and collaboration.
  • Experience in landscape business softwares like LMN or Aspire are a bonus
  • A genuine passion for creating and maintaining beautiful, sustainable landscapes.

Location: Commuting to our location in Yeadon, PA and Conshohocken, PA required. Primary job responsibilities take place in Yeadon, PA, with a weekly visit to Conshohocken, PA. Winter work location can be either location. Many of our current Yeadon, PA employees come from the Philadelphia area (Fishtown, Center City, Upper Darby, Media).
