Housing and Community Services Supervisor

The Housing and Community Services Supervisor (HCSS) for The Foundation for Delaware County's Housing Opportunities Program for Equity (HOPE), will play a pivotal role in directing and executing HOPE initiatives that significantly impact the lives of individuals and families across Delaware County. This supervisor position is ideal for someone with a robust background in both the strategic and operational aspects of housing services, preferably with a solid understanding of housing policies, public health, and community development.

In this role, you will:

• Assist with leading the development and implementation of housing initiatives that are designed to serve the needs of high-risk populations, ensuring access to housing stability.
• Administer direct housing services efficiently and effectively, overseeing a small caseload in partnership with nurses or case managers to address acute housing emergencies and foster long-term stability for our clients.
• Champion systemic changes by creating strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, from government partners to private entities, enhancing the program’s ability to influence housing policy and obtain resources throughout the community.

Key qualifications:

• A leader with a bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master's preferred) and at least five years of experience in housing or supportive services.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experienced managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This position is crucial not only for maintaining the operational excellence and reputation of HOPE but also for making a lasting impact on the quality of life and housing stability for the diverse communities we serve. As a supervisor, you will also be instrumental in mentoring and leading a team of dedicated Housing Specialists.

The Foundation for Delaware County has the following mandates:

• Annual Influenza Immunization (during flu season)

• All new hires must have the COVID-19 (updated vaccine) before their start date.
