Position: Storeroom Attendant

Location: Magna, UT

Pay: $22 - $24 per hour (depending on experience)

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts with some built-in overtime.


Overview:

This is a direct hire, permanent position working onsite at a major industrial hygiene center in Magna, UT.

Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Maintain stock of essential items such as cleaning supplies, respirators, and calibration gases to support smooth operations.
  • Employee Assistance: Facilitate the efficient check-in and check-out of inventory for employees.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform monthly calibrations and sensor changes for gas monitors.
  • Record Keeping: Keep detailed records of calibrations, repairs, PPE usage, and procurement activities.

Position Summary:

As a Storeroom Attendant, you will be responsible for providing outstanding service to the on-site team. This role involves purchasing materials, managing inventory, and ensuring the reliability of supply to meet operational demands.

Essential Duties:

  • Conduct procurement activities to meet current and future demand for products and materials, aligning with purchasing strategies.
  • Assess and manage orders, including expediting or de-expediting for optimal delivery.
  • Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
  • Research and recommend vendors and products to ensure quality, pricing, and delivery standards.
  • Monitor product quality and timeliness, coordinating returns or replacements as necessary.
  • Communicate order statuses and resolve issues with vendors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and customers.
  • Identify and document opportunities for cost savings.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and maintain a professional, clean worksite.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; 2-3 years of customer service experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and the ability to learn ERP and inventory management systems.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Extended periods working at a computer, including repetitive keying activities.
  • Exposure to manufacturing environments, including dirt, smoke, heat, and cold.
  • Compliance with safety protocols (e.g., hand, foot, and eye protection).
  • Overtime may be required with little notice.
  • Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs.
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision, focus adjustment, and color distinction.
