Sr. Commissioning Engineer- PLC, Mechanical/Electrical Test Systems (60% travel)Location: Indianapolis, INCompensation: $100K–$120KIndustry: Aerospace / Defense / Test SystemsCitizenship: U.S. Citizen required for security/clearance purposesTravel: Up to 60% (includes a 6-week training assignment in Germany)We’re seeking a skilled Sr. Commissioning Engineer to support the commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of advanced test systems used in aerospace, defense, and industrial applications.Employer is serious and urgent to hire. This is a key position that will interface/commission withclientsKey Responsibilities:Commission test benches and related softwareConduct metrology investigations and system analysesVerify functionality of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control subsystemsCoordinate commissioning activities with internal teams and external partnersServe as the primary on-site technical contact for customersSupport test rigs across U.S. customer sites, including troubleshooting and service coordinationManage service trips, quotes, and solution implementationQualifications:Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent)6+ years relevant experience (flexible for exceptional backgrounds)Strong mechanical/electrical/electronic aptitude; programming familiarity preferredExperience with special machinery, plant commissioning, and PLCs (TwinCAT, Siemens S7/TIA-Portal)Knowledge of drive/control technologiesAble to work independently with strong customer-facing professionalismWillingness for frequent travel, including international assignmentsIf qualified and interested send your resume today to Clara at cfoo@pacifictechnicalresources.com
