Job Description:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to secure construction materials and supplies, as well as ongoing product needs for customer installations and maintenance.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Utilize and continuously improve inventory tracking systems to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement the processes designed to help your team oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels, minimizing waste and reducing holding costs.
  • Analyze inventory data to forecast demand and plan for future needs, working closely with key stakeholders in Operations and Accounting.
  • Manage warehousing operations and staff, ensuring efficient storage, handling, and distribution of materials.
  • Optimize logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials to job sites, minimizing delays and disruptions.
  • Coordinate with project managers and site teams to synchronize material deliveries with project schedules.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting of material disbursements to contractors via materials management processes, systems, and personnel.
  • Monitor material usage and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.


Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive Supply Chain Management experience, preferably out of the construction industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field required
  • In-depth knowledge of construction materials, procurement processes, logistics, and inventory management and controls.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and systems, including ERP and materials tracking systems.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate complex logistics and materials flows across multiple construction sites.
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring a team.
