Shift: 6:00 pm - 6:15 am (3 days/week including every other weekend and holiday).

Position Overview:

Pride Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This is a 36-hour per week, 13-week contract position offering guaranteed hours. This is an excellent opportunity for LPNs looking to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in formulating and updating personalized care plans for residents.
  • Provide nursing care based on physician orders and regulatory standards.
  • Accurately document care and observations using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Respond promptly to resident call lights and assist with their care needs.
  • Notify physicians of changes in resident conditions and process orders accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding condition changes and care needs.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow infection control protocols.
  • Handle linens and supplies in adherence to safety regulations.
  • Report any signs or symptoms of infections or health concerns promptly.
  • Participate in resident, family, and significant other education related to care needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Must hold current LPN licensure for the state of practice.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Practical Nursing).
  • Experience: Prior work experience in a similar nursing position is preferred.
  • Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform physical tasks related to patient care.
