Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Designer or higher-level Draftsman with extensive experience in Revit to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drawing ducts, layout difficulties, and performing load calculations. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our design and drafting processes for various projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Revit software to create detailed designs and drawings of ducts and layouts.
  • Develop accurate and precise 3D models and technical drawings for construction

projects.

  • Perform load calculations to ensure designs meet project specifications and safety

standards.

  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other team members to develop and

refine project designs.

  • Review and interpret project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to

create comprehensive designs.

  • Identify and resolve design and drafting issues promptly.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and

advancements in Revit and related technologies.

  • Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Provide support during project planning, execution, and review phases.


Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Design, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Designer or Draftsman, with a focus on Revit.
  • Proficiency in Revit software and other CAD applications is a must.
  • Strong understanding of ductwork design and layout complexities.
  • Experience with load calculations and related engineering principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Revit or related drafting/design software.
  • Experience in the construction or HVAC industry.
  • Familiarity with other design and drafting software tools.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in an office environment with occasional visits to project sites.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while using computer software.


Work Environment:

  • Office-based with occasional fieldwork for site assessments and inspections.
  • Interaction with engineers, architects, and other project stakeholders.
