Job Description:

Azure Data Architect

Primary Skillset

  • Good Understanding of Data Modeling, Data Cleansing, Data Transformation Concepts
  • Experience in designing and implementation of technical solutions for Microsoft-centric solutions based on Azure Native Data Migration Service and other ETL technologies
  • Hands-on experience on Azure Cloud migration
  • Experience in Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Azure Data Analytics platform including Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Native Data Migration Service and other ETL technologies
  • Experience in Assessment & Discovery and carry out End to End migration Migrating from on Premise Infrastructure to Azure Cloud
  • Experience in Data security, tokenization, Data Masking, Data Replication, Data Modeling, Deploy Automation Script
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as Data Architect with at least 5+ Years’ experience in designing and building solutions using Azure Data Services

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of technical professionals involved in Designing, Implanting and Cloud Data Migration initiative
  • Designing and implementing solutions using the Azure Data Analytics platform including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Data Warehouse
  • Possess in-depth technical knowledge of both the existing and target systems/platforms.
  • Evaluate the compatibility and feasibility of migrating data, applications, and infrastructure components.
  • Provide guidance on technical challenges and propose solutions
  • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to align migration goals with overall business objectives
  • Identify potential risks associated with the migration and develop mitigation plans.
  • Monitor the progress of the migration, proactively addressing issues to minimize disruptions.
  • Provide updates on migration progress, address concerns, and manage expectations.
  • Establish and implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data and applications throughout the migration process.
  • Conduct testing and validation to verify that the migrated systems meet performance and functionality requirements.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of the migration process, including configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Ensure that documentation is accessible to relevant stakeholders for reference and future maintenance.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and team members to identify areas for improvement in the migration process.
  • Ensure that the migration adheres to relevant compliance standards and security protocols.
  • Collaborate with security teams to address any vulnerabilities and ensure a secure transition.
