Duration: 12 month contract, +extensions/perm possible

Pay Rate: $36.59/hr - $48.79/hr


Position Overview:

The Android Developer will join one of largest automotive clients in Dearborn, MI. This person will join a team responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of infotainment embedded software solutions utilizing Android operating systems (OS) and platform Components. Majority of the responsibilities for this position are within diagnosing issues within the android framework/platform; drive analysis and root cause android framework issues and provide solutions for infotainment product issues. About 40% of the rest of the time will be spent coding. The code is already written by another vendor, but there are times where this team has to make changes to fix the issues in a timely manner and then send the code back to the vendor. This is a great opportunity for developers to work on infotainment software within vehicles that will directly be sent to plants for use after coding. This person will also work cross functionally with technical specialists, domain architects, feature owners, and application teams across the team and there will be a lot of support while trying various solutions for issues within the android framework/platform.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with software development on embedded, mobile, or consumer electronic platform
  • Experience with coding in Java or C++
  • Strong understanding and experience with Android framework / platform functions and features for software development
  • In depth knowledge of operating systems functions and features (Preferably Linux, but open to any)
  • Understanding of System Partition

Compensation:

Pay Rate: $36.59/hr - $48.79/hr


Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
