Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining and repairing equipment in a food manufacturing environment, specifically within the food manufacturing sector. This role is essential in keeping our production lines running efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment and machinery
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential maintenance issues
  • Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs
  • Collaborate with production staff to schedule maintenance during non-peak hours
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Assist in the training of new maintenance staff on best practices and safety procedures

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification is a plus
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or food manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of dairy production processes is preferred
  • Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
