Senior Associate

National investment firm is hiring a Senior Associate. The ideal candidate will play a key role in all aspects of financial reporting and make significant contributions to high-profile strategic and operational initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with 3+ years of experience in public accounting / tax or audit looking to transition into corporate with a fast-paced, established investment firm, strong base salary / total comp and visible room for growth within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all planning and execution of partner capital account statements, capital calls / distributions and cash reconciliations
  • Prepare/review monthly investment reconciliations as well as quarterly financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements) for a variety of clients
  • Run client engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects on time
  • Review annual financial reporting statements, P&L allocations, monthly investment reconciliations, and cash management statements
  • Generate supporting schedules to assist external accounting firms with the preparation of tax estimates, Schedule K-1s, and tax returns
  • Collaborate with management to develop tools and metrics to evaluate performance of target initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • 3+ years of experience in investment companies or public accounting with exposure to tax/audit
  • Proficient planning and communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a high performing team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written, verbal, informal and formal communication, and presentation skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel
